This Privacy Policy describes how Blue Light Suites LLC ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Scrimpr ("the app"). Please read this policy carefully.
1. Information We Collect
a) Information you provide
- Display name and default budget — stored locally on your device only.
- Shopping trips, budgets, item lists, and store selections — stored locally on your device only. This data is never uploaded to our servers.
b) Information collected automatically
- Scanned barcodes and ZIP codes — sent to third-party retailer APIs (Kroger/Smith's and Walmart) solely to retrieve product pricing. This data is not retained by us.
- In-app purchase receipts — processed by Apple App Store or Google Play and verified through Qonversion to confirm your subscription status.
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android) — may be collected by our ad network and used to serve relevant banner ads to free-tier users.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide core app functionality (barcode lookups, budget tracking).
- Verify and manage your premium subscription status.
- Display relevant advertisements to free-tier users.
- Improve app performance and fix bugs.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Local Data Storage
Your shopping history, preferences, and biometric lock settings are stored exclusively on your device. Clearing the app's data (Settings → Clear All Data) or uninstalling the app permanently removes this data.
4. Camera & Microphone
The camera is used solely to scan product barcodes. No photos or video are captured, saved, or transmitted. Microphone access is requested for audio feedback only; no audio is recorded or stored.
5. Biometric Authentication
Biometric lock (Face ID / Touch ID) is handled entirely by your device's operating system. Scrimpr never accesses, stores, or transmits your biometric data.
6. Third-Party Services
- Qonversion — Subscription management. Privacy Policy

- Expo Monetization / Ad Networks — Banner ads for free-tier users. Premium subscribers are not subject to ad tracking. Privacy Policy
7. Data Retention & Deletion
All shopping data is stored locally and retained until you clear it or uninstall the app. To delete all data, go to Settings → Clear All Data within the app.
8. Children's Privacy
Scrimpr is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable law (including GDPR and CCPA) to access, correct, or delete your personal data and to opt out of the sale of personal data (we do not sell your data).
10. Advertising Choices
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track".
- Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads → "Opt out of Ads Personalization".
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of Scrimpr after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
